rFactor 2 is the successor to the hugely sucessful rFactor. Only a few details have been released so far, the game is known to include improved AI, circuit specific environment maps, physically modelled bumps & dips and changeable weather effects. Furthermore, it will be quite easy for rFactor 1 mods to be converted to rFactor 2, and the same modding tools will be provided to community.The game will enter public beta mode towards the end of 2011 / early 2012 before the official release. To play the game, you will also have to subscribe on a yearly basis at around $13/year. Several modding groups have already started work on mods ready for rFactor 2's release, such as CTDP F1 2009, and RMT World Super GT 2.
